Terms and rules

Short and plain. Read before you play.

A game

WIKIDEX is a card game. Each card is a Wikipedia article. Play for fun, not for income.

No value promised

  • A card has no set value.
  • The token has no set value.
  • Nobody promises a price.
  • A price can fall to zero.
  • A card pays no revenue.

18 and over

You must be 18 or older. The game asks once, on this device.

Risks: isolation, debt. France: Joueurs Info Service, 09 74 75 13 13.

Buying a pack

  • You pay in WIKIDEX.
  • All of it is burned. Nobody gets it.
  • A pack gives five random cards.
  • You cannot choose your cards.
  • Buying can stay closed at first.
  • A free path stays open.

Odds and caps are on the rules page.

Moves are final

A move on chain cannot be undone. Nobody can return burned tokens. An unopened sealed bid burns. Check before you confirm.

What we keep

Free sign up: your public name and address. No email, no password, no ID. No payment details.

This browser keeps your theme and age answer. That stays on this device.

The game can stop

The game is new. It can stop. Cards may then be worth nothing. A rate change waits seven days, in public.

One player, one hand

  • Play with one account.
  • Linked addresses count as one player.
  • A trade between them earns no points.
  • One free card per person, not per address.

Fair bids

  • Bid to buy, not to push prices.
  • Never bid on your own sale.
  • Your second address is still you.

Names and notes

Guild names and bid notes are public. They stay on chain for good.

  • Be kind. No hate, no threats.
  • No links or ads in notes.
  • No private details about others.

When rules break

  • We mark the addresses we link.
  • Their points do not count.
  • We can stop showing a name here.
  • We can stop showing a note here.
  • Nobody can delete them from the chain.
